Urethane vs Fiberglass
The information below is an attempt to clear up issues that rumors and other companies have started by misinforming customers about body kits.
First thing is first. FITMENT! Many companies as well as many people constantly spread rumors that nobody should buy a fiberglass body kit because they don't fit. These people want you to spend hundreds more dollars on a poly-urethane body kit. And the fact of the matter is a urethane after market bumper does NOT fit any better than a fiberglass bumper does. No company out there can offer you a perfect fitting product so if they are offering you a product with perfect fitment, you might want to stear clear because they are lying through their teeth. Most aftermarket kits auctually take very little to install. Some sanding, drilling holes, lowering of factory exhaust, and possible removal of bumper supports. But guess what ? You have to do the same thing with a urethane product as well.
We want our customers to always have all the information, we do not lie about our product and we don't lie about other companies product. It is true what they say that no 2 body kits are created equal. There are some really bad body kits out there, and I can tell you right where to find them. EBAY!!! Ebay is flooded with low quality body kits at super duper low prices. This is where fiberglass kits have gotten a bad reputation. We have never offered a product on ebay and never will. Most people buy a body kit at a low price on ebay, and it's terrible, it don't fit, it's bad quality, and then saying that urethane is better.
Another reason to choose fiberglass over urethane? Maintenance! Urethane body kits will require more maintenance than a fiberglass kit. Why?? They have to be painted much more often. The reason behind this is because the paint cannot soak into urethane, it simply sits on the top of the bumper and will crack or chip very easily. Scrape your kit a little to hard with a urethane bumper and you may find yourself in the body shop for a touch up paint job. All said and done, there is only 1 reason a customer should ever choose urethane over fiberglass, and that reason would be that he is planning on hitting a lot of things with his front bumper, because fiberglass gets more easily broken. Also no customer and I really mean no customer should ever buy urethane side skirts and urethane rear bumpers, as that is just a completely total waste of hard earned money.
